BF6C Occhipinti “SP68 Bianco” 2022, Sicilian Blend - Arianna Occhipinti is a huge name in Sicily (and everywhere else). She is the poster child of low-intervention, super approachable wines with a purpose and a story of place. A li’l heftier in body and complexity - this wine pairs so well with food. Hers are hot-selling wines and kinda hard to find so don’t miss out.

BF7A Vietti Timorasso Dethrona Colli Tortonesi, 2021 (=the little house on the hills of tortonesi [an ancient roman camp]) - fuller bodied. nutty, grapefruit, kinda slick texture. almost went extinct but revived. pleasant dry citrus. river stone minerality.
TAA14C Ercole "Monferatto" 2022, Cortese 1L - great value. drinks better than its price. great with our menu.
TAA14D Ercole Moscato d’Asti 2023 - candied fruit, acacia blossom, and honey.
BF5B Zenato "Lugana" 2023, Trebbiano, from Veneto - zenato has been around forever. effected by the clean lake water nearby. green fruit and spring blossom. vanilla. refreshing. swirl a lot, it gets better as it opens.
BF3D Monte Carbonare Soave Classico 2022, Mostly Gargenega - we love this wine! kind-of exotic fruitiness, a wee bit smoky, crisp acidity. this goes over well w/ our guests. wild herbaceousness, beautiful texture. from the fertile delta.
AB8B Borgo San Daniele 2021, Malvasia - fresh and delicate. lime-y. great with seafood.
AB7A Ronchi di Cialla Cialla Bianco 2018, Ribolla Gialla/Verduzzo/Tocai - beautiful aromatics. caramel/butterscotch but not sweet at all. a touch of oak.
TAA14A Venica & Venica Collio “Petris” 2021, Malvasia - ‘poetry of the earth’. apricot, aromatic herbs (sage, thyme), mineralogy.

AB7D Pileum "Valle Bianca" 2022, Passerina/Malvasia Puntinata - Greg knows these folks personally and hand picked these wines for us. green herbs, low acid, nice apple. we are proud. A great comparison to Chablis [sha-blee] (which is a famous French chardonnay)
TAA15A San Felice Ancherona 2019, Chardonnay - this is the chardonnay we have for folks that like an “OAKY/BUTTERY” chard.
TAA14B Palagetto Vernaccia di San Gimignano - from Tuscany. Medium Acidity. Soft and Creamy with pear, peach, apricot. A bit rounder like a Chard. Excellent with most pasta dishes.
MO2C Collecapretta "Il Prodigo" 2019, Mantonico - small Umbrian family making natural wines. VERY hard to find grape. special.very aromatic. quince. panna cotta. supple and gripping. dark, rich round.
AB8C Collecapretta "Vigna Vecchia" 2023, Trebbiano Spoletino - small Umbria family making natural wines. . vigna vecchia = “old vines”. denser and headier than the il prodigo whiter fruits. stewy yellow plums. rich. drink with white meats, , branzino.
BF6B Collecapretta "Pigro delle Sobre" 2020, Greco - small Umbria family making natural wines. this one bolder of the bunch. fermented naturally, unfiltered. viscous/slick. white peach, white asian pear.
MO3D Collecapretta "Buscaia" 2020, Malvasia - small Umbria family making natural wines. kinda orange.. cleanest and lightest of the bunch. fresh bay leaf. plays well with the top part of our menu.
AB9D Tascante "Buonora" 2022 - Etna Bianco Carricante - from mt. Etna (volcano) in Sicily. that means bright acidity but balanced with lime, lemongrass, green ripe apple, and mint.
MO3A Ciro Picariello Fiano 2019 - love this producer! Fiano is the nobler of the three Picariello wines listed. goes great with top section of our menu. very complex - stoney, mineral, nutty.
AB9A Ciro Picariello Greco di Tufo 2021 - love this producer! greco from the small tufo area. all the nice things about fiano but with deeper minerality. white mediterranean fruit, white peach.
BF3C Ciro Picariello Falanghina 2021 - love this producer! similar to the other two but with a bit more of a green apple/fresh green pear presence. richest of the three. more herbaceous. lemon zest
BF7B Bove Marso Pecorino 2021 - Ryan’s favorite. Medium plus body, kinda tropical, kinda mineral-y. Plays really well with food and lemon (which our menu has lots of)
AB8A Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2022- a fun warm-weather wine. minerality but with a bit of ripe exotic fruit. sunny patio!
TAA13B Produtori di Manduria "Alice" 2020, Verdeca - fresh and savory. citrus at the end. lingers. saline presence typical of verdeca. very easy to drink
BF7C Cincinnato Castore 2021, Bellone - from just outside of Rome. fuller bodied, round, fresh. a little bigger than most our whites. hint of saline.
MO2A Benanti Etna Bianco 2023, Carricante - another Sicilian volcanic soil white. dry, nice salinity and mineral. super crisp. really well made.
AB9B Massican Gemina 2018, Greco/Pinot Grigio - crisp, high acid. clean. bright fruit.

CG19S L'Arco "Rosso del Veronese” 2021, Sangiovese Blend - l’arco has really smooth, slick, reds that are pretty famous. they’ve been on many high-end athens menus for a long time. lush and rich with cherry, plum and oak. softer structure. velvety.
TAA66A Foradori “Morei" 2017, Teroldego MAGNUM - natural wine makers. lighter wine. bright tart cherry. gravely. lively. medium body.
CG15H Bussola "Amarone della Valpolicella" 2019, Classico - The 2 most famous amarone makers in the world decided this was among the best of the best (and yet, it remains 1/10th the price). made from previously dried grapes, amarone is super rich. baking spices. raisin-y, prune-y, chocolaty. its really for people who already like amarone and know what they are getting themselves in to. it’s a very slow sipper. high alcohol.
TAA66C Foradori "Sgarzon" 2017, Teroldego MAGNUM - beautiful purple color. pretty complex and changes a lot throughout, but somehow still kinda light.
M06A Foradori Teroldego Normale 2022 - earthy, maybe like a cab but with merlot softness. sweet tobacco. kinda wild. natural. red fruit. good with tomato sauce menu items.
CG37T Erste & Neue Kalterersee 2023, Schiava - this is for the pinot noir drinkers out there. kinda light, high-toned fruit, delicate.
CG73W Fratelli Grasso Langhe Nebbiolo 2020 - nebbiolo (grape of barolo, barbaresco) but this one from the langhe (lang-ee). pairs with grilled meat. big, dry, tannic, higher alcohol. similar qualities on a Barolo but more budget-friendly. not as refined. Bolder than the Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo.
HS1 Ioppa Colline Novaresi 2022, Nebbiolo - similar to the grasso description above. the difference is the above is more earthy/leathery. this one bigger dark fruit presence. Greg likes to sell this to people that like Oregon Pinot Noir because of the fruit similarities.
HS3 Caligaris Luca Gattinara 2018, Nebbiolo - ripe red raspberry, fresh roses, fine tannins.
HS8 Vajra Barbera d'Alba 2023 - Vajra (VAY-RA) is known for their lighter hand. Nice aromatics, hits of anise, blackberry, strawberry, cherry. Pasta/Pizza/Chicken Parm. Sweet Spot for folks who like red wines but not familiar with Italian reds.
ZM917 Vajra Barbera d’Alba Superiore 2021 - rich and savory. black cherry, currants, blueberry. sage, lavender, mocha.
ZM815 Vajra Dolcetto d'Alba 2022 -Vajra (VAY-RA) a bit simpler and rustic than their Barbera - more chewy, purple fruit. Bolognese pairing!
M06B Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 - Ruby red, delicate. Orange zest, dry earth, fig. Intense red roses red fruit. silky sweet tannins. lighter in body than the Grasso version.
ZM95C Vietti Barbera d’Asti La Crena Superiore 2020 - welcomes the scorching summer heat ("bring it on," it beckons). It maintains its acidity and tart berry profile despite the soaring temperatures. This is more evident with fruit from the Asti area. This wine offers textual weight all backed by tangy freshness. La Crena is partially made with fruit from old vines, planted some 90 years ago.
ZM98A Vietti Nebbiolo Langhe Perbacco 2021 - fruity with hints of mint, spices and candy. Round and elegant tannins add to a long and refined finish. Robust, intense, and powerful in its youth while complex and elegant with aging.
HS4 Borgogno Barbera d'Alba 2022 - structured, fruit-forward, hints of tobacco, bolder structure
ABIIC Borgogno Langhe Nebbiolo 2018 - think of this as a baby barbaresco - really punchy and powerful. black olive/black tea.
HS23 Borgogno Dolcetto d'Alba 2021 - crushed blackberries, blueberry. rustic fruit. dry, good tannin. does well with starch.
ABIID Borgo San Daniele "Arbis Ros" 2017 - Pignolo. VERY rare grape. full bodied, dense, dark, wild black berry. plum pie, chocolate. nutty
ZM22A Vietti Barbera d'Alba Scarrone 2020 - scarrone is the area. it’s a plot of land they are proud of. really lovely barbera.
ZM22P Vietti Barbera d'Alba Vigna Vecchia Scarrone 2018 - scarrone is the area. difference b/w the one above? vigna vecchia=”old vines” = richer, more volume, bigger.
ZM57T Venica Collio 2021, Merlot - our only merlot. merlot drinkers like rich, full, jammy, smooth red wines. so this hits those marks. great producer.
BAROLO
(BAROLO and BARBARESCO are similar. Same grape (Nebbiolo), same area, same usage for the most part. Barolo a little brawnier, Barbaresco a touch more finesse). Barbaresco = smaller area/lower altitude so more supple and creamy. Barolo = higher altitude so bigger tannins and more structure. )
